The name comes from a lot of little inspirations honestly. Growing up, I was into a lot of video games, comic books, manga, really weird nintendo fanfics and anime. The name "HeroicBrutality" came after a rough time in my life. I was constantly told at a young age that all the things I liked are for babies and that into adulthood I needed to just be into cars, getting high paying jobs and being like a "manly man".

I was also really bad at school, like, I couldn't even maintain a 1.0 GPA. It's not like your GPA matters after school is over anyway. I was constantly told I would never amount to anything and that going to college was the only path to success.

Success is a subjective idea. One can feel successful through making $50k a year in a cubicle and one can feel successful through $10 billion a year as the CEO of that business. My parents worked a job their whole lives never once comparing themselves to their neighbors or other family members. I've had my share of rich uncles who made it big and a share of uncles who were totally fine working for 20 an hour.

Because I felt like a total loser, I wanted to prove them all wrong. I was brutally honest with people and about my goals in life. I wanted to join the "two comma club" by helping others improve their self esteem and achieving their fitness goals through an extremely high quality program like this one. This program was built to be brutal during exercise and turn it's pupils into heroes. That's HeroicBrutality and we think that name works well for our purpose.
